Things to Do

Your busy life doesn't allow for many free hours.  Rely on God to show you where to go to help answer life questions.

 

Mission Trips

Your children may have gone on one, or maybe you did when you were young.  Now is a great time to try it again.  Test your ability to serve and to do without.  Is your heart in it?

Talk to your pastor or adult education staff person to discuss opportunities to go on an adult mission trip.

Concordia University System (CUS) colleges and seminary websites

Historically the colleges and universities of the synod provided the education for all professional church workers.  They are still a great place to start.  Many of them have created ways for adults and second career individuals to complete these programs in accelerated or online formats. 

Be aware that some programs still require on-campus residencies or semesters.

Continuing education classes through the CUS

Still not sure if switching careers is right for you?  Feeling that before you head off to the seminary you might need to brush up on church history or Greek?  Many of our colleges and universities offer continuing education courses online or in person.
